About TFM Butchers

The farm was founded in the early 1970s by John and Margaret Thompson. In 2005 we opened TFM Butchers which has now grown into a thriving on-site butchers Shop. We proudly offer only our home bred and reared beef, pork, lamb, goat, and chicken, all traceable from our farm to your fork ensuring the highest standards of animal welfare and quality all and prepared by our highly skilled butchers.

We’re proud to be Great Taste Award winners, receiving a prestigious 2-star rating for our Isleham Blue Pork™ Shoulder. Judges described it as “visually very appealing with crispy crackling, perfectly seasoned, and bursting with flavour.” Our pork, bred from rare breed Saddlebacks and rare breed Welsh or Large White pigs, continues to receive national recognition and customer praise.
We have also been fortunate to have been finalists in The National Pig Awards, as well as being awarded as a Gold Winner in the SME Ely Retail Business of the Year 2024 and Silver Winner in the SME Ely ‘Family Business of the Year’ category.

* If you haven’t shopped with us before, it will be useful for you to be aware that we are a Family run Farm, we do not have a lot of staff so we are working every day out on the farm and also running a very successful, very busy on-farm Butchers Shop.
